Dr Kiran D Sekhar completed her medical education at Osmania General Hospital, Hyderabad, where she achieved the remarkable feat of ranking first in both her M.B.B.S and M.D. post-graduate examinations. Her academic excellence was recognized with the award of 11 gold medals by the then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Shri. Channa Reddy, in 1972.

• Vice President of FOGSI: Dr. Kiran D Sekhar served as the vice president of the Federation of Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies of India (FOGSI), an organization representing nearly 20,000 obstetricians and gynecologists across India.
• Government Service: She dedicated 12 years to government service as an associate professor in obstetrics and gynecology at the Government Maternity Hospital, Hyderabad. Her exceptional work in the field of infertility led to her appointment as the In-charge of the Infertility Division at a young age.
• International Experience: Dr. Kiran further expanded her expertise internationally, serving as the Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at King Fahad Hospital in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for four years.
